‘Jetty’ : Wateringen : 2001 

With Joke Robaard I won the competition for the design of an art piece in Wateringen near The Hague. A big new suburb is built there. We decided to regard this suburb not as a number of houses but as a collection of people. Al these people represent specific knowledge, stories and skills. We investigate these aspects, and then visualise them. This cartography of unofficial knowledge is applied to a pier. Aside from this a map explaining both suburb and pier will be given to every new inhabitant.
